A first look at Timgad

Timgad is a town as well as the ruins of a Roman city in Northeast Algeria. The ruins are a . Timgad lies on the northern slopes of the Aurès mountains and was created as a military colony by the Emperor Trajan in 100 AD. It is an excellent example of the grid plan as used in Roman town planning.
