A first look at Ruse

Ruse (Bulgarian: Русе, also romanized as Rousse) is a port city on the Danube in North Bulgaria. It is the sixth largest city in Bulgaria, and one of the two main river crossings to Romania. It has a rich legacy of fin-de-siècle European architecture that calls back to the time when Ruse was one of the most developed and cosmopolitan cities in Bulgaria.
