A first look at Cuenca (Batangas)

For other places by the name, see Cuenca. Cuenca is a town in Batangas, on the southern coast of Taal Lake. The town's main tourist draw is Mount Maculot; it is fairly easily climbed and the summit gives a fine view of the lake and volcano. Near the town are a growing number of private resorts, mostly mid-range to splurge.
