North Chennai is the oldest part of the metropolis. North Chennai is one of the best preserved Art Deco architectural areas in India. It is also Chennai's oldest central business district though it has long since given way to Central Chennai. If you're particularly interested in architecture or photography, this is a must visit place. Don't forget the nooks and crannies.
