Capitólio is a town in Southern Minas Gerais. The slogan for the city is "Queen of the Lakes" in reference to its proximity to the Furnas reservoir. Capitólio has become an important tourist destination in Minas Gerais, much sought after due to its beautiful waterfalls and clear water rivers.
