Room for discovery
What can you explore?
- Fenomena invites visitors to explore light, sound and static electricity through interactive experiences.
- The daily Chain Reaction demonstration introduces potential and kinetic energy through action and reaction.
- Rooftop Square offers city views alongside cloud-spotting, urban birdwatching and plant and air-quality features.
- Suggested interest ages
- Suggested interests: ages 4–17
- Editorial age guidance
- Editorial planning suggestion, not an admission rule: ages 4–17 are a broad likely-interest range for hands-on science exhibits, games and experiments. Younger children may still visit with adults; NEMO itself says it is suitable for all ages. The official FAQ also warns that some activities are only for visitors aged 6 and over, so check individual activity details rather than treating six as a museum-wide threshold. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Visitor planning notes
- Admission tickets have a start time; check the official plan-your-visit page for current hours and ticket details before going. The rooftop is free to access and its official page lists stairs on the east side. NEMO reports lifts on each museum level and wheelchair, rollator and mobility-scooter access; wheelchair rental requires advance email reservation. Ask the provider about stroller arrangements and rooftop conditions in poor weather.
