Clearwater Connection is an advanced 4.8 km cave journey beginning in the show-cave section of the Cave of the Winds before continuing into undeveloped chambers. The route crosses rugged boulder-strewn ground, with climbs, muddy slopes and repeated swims across an underground river; the 1.5 km river section is noted by the park as a highlight.
